Install Ubuntu 11.10

If we want to upgrade from a previous version, you must upgrade your system first, then you type:
sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get upgrade
And finally:
update-manager-d

Select your language and connect t the internet your computer, and make sure that it will download the updates:
